Hunt: Showdown Weapon Damage: Every Family Ranked
Chest-hit damage, shots to kill, drop range and price for all 51 Hunt: Showdown weapon families, pulled from the game's own loadout figures.
In Hunt: Showdown almost every gun can kill a hunter in one well-placed headshot, so the numbers that actually change how you play are chest-hit damage, how many chest hits it takes to down someone, how far the bullet holds up, and what the gun costs when you die with it. This table lists all 51 weapon families straight from the game’s own loadout screen figures.
How to read this table
- Chest hit — the body damage number the loadout screen shows, before any head/limb multiplier.
- Shots to kill — chest hits on a full-health hunter at close range. A single dash means the weapon is a tool or melee, not a primary kill method.
- Drop range — distance before damage starts falling off.
- Price — base hunt-dollar cost; the real cost is what you lose when the hunter dies.

Which ones to actually carry
The table is the raw truth; the pick still depends on what you can afford to lose. The high-chest-hit rifles — Nitro Express (364), Sparks (149), Martini-Henry (143), Springfield 1866 (139) — drop hunters fastest and reach farthest, but they cost hundreds and a death empties your pocket. The workhorses that balance cost and kills are the 123–136 chest-hit rifles (Centennial, Vetterli 71, Lebel 1886, Krag, Mosin-Nagant), most of which sit under 400 and still take two chest hits. For a first loadout, grab a rifle at 110–145 chest hit with two shots to kill and a price you will not cry over when the hunter burns. Shotguns are pure close-range insurance: Romero 77 at 66 hunt dollars is the cheapest one-shot option in the game.
This reference pairs with the best weapons for players who die page and the full weapons list; for close-range-only options see the shotguns guide.
