Phasmophobia Haunted Mirror: Finding the Ghost Room
The Haunted Mirror shows a panoramic view of the ghost room for heavy sanity drain. How to take one quick look instead of losing your whole meter.
The Haunted Mirror is a location tool: hold it up and it reveals a panoramic view of the ghost’s favorite room. It is one of the fastest ways to end the search phase, but it drains sanity steadily the whole time you look.
What it does
Activating the mirror shows the favorite room as if you were standing in it. This is the room the ghost spends most of its time in, so it tells you where to set up cameras, projectors, and books. It does not show where the ghost is at that exact second — it shows the room, not the entity.
How to use it
- Pick it up and activate it, look for a second or two, note the room, and put it down.
- Do not stare. The sanity drain is continuous while the mirror is active, so a long look is one of the easiest ways to lose a huge chunk of sanity and push toward a cursed hunt.
- Use it when the team has not found the room and you want the fastest direct answer.
The risk
Heavy, continuous sanity drain. At low sanity the mirror breaks and can trigger a cursed hunt, so treat it like the Ouija Board: a spend-sanity-for-information tool. Using it on a shaky meter is the classic mistake.
Best use case and mistake to avoid
Best when you are lost on a large map and need the room fast. The mistake is treating it like a periscope — holding it for a long scan. Take the information in one glance, then get out and set up. Have your escape route and a smudge ready in case the drain tips you into a hunt.
