Season 30 Care Package Weapons: Kraber, L-STAR, 30-30

The Season 30 care package holds the Kraber, L-STAR and 30-30 Repeater. What each does and whether the drop is worth contesting.

Three weapons sit in the Supply Drop this season: the Kraber .50-Cal, the L-STAR EMG, and the 30-30 Repeater. All three are care-package only — they don’t spawn on the floor, and their ammo doesn’t touch your main gun’s supply.

Kraber .50-Cal

The long-range sniper that ends fights across the map. A headshot is usually a knock, and its limited, self-contained ammo means it never eats your primary’s reserves. If it lands near you, take it — but protect it, because you can’t reload from the floor.

L-STAR EMG

Moved into the care package in Season 29 with a damage bump and the Redline hop-up, which raises damage and projectile size as it nears overheating. It runs on the new energy stockpile, so you never run dry between fights, and it is the best close-to-mid gun in the game when you can secure the drop.

30-30 Repeater

Joined the care package this season with 51 body damage, faster charge, improved reload, and Shatter Caps, which fire a pellet spread from the hip (up to ~56 hip-fire damage). It is now a mid-range lever-action that can also defend itself up close.

Should you contest the drop?

Care-package weapons decide fights, but the drop is a magnet for third parties. Contest it when:

  • Your squad can hold the surrounding sightlines, and
  • You already have a serviceable primary, so losing the fight for the box doesn’t leave you empty-handed.

If you’re under-geared, grabbing a strong floor gun (see weapon tier list) is usually safer than dying on a drop.
