Apex Loot Changes in Season 30: Where to Find Gear Now

Season 30 gutted top-end loot: gold bins, gold attachments, gold backpacks and Hot Zones are gone. Where to find gear and how Arsenals now work.

Season 30 “Marked” made the floor leaner at the top end. If you landed expecting gold bins and Hot Zones, that plan is dead. Here is what changed and where to look instead.

What was removed

  • Mythic and Gold bins are gone from the loot pool.
  • Gold attachments and gold backpacks no longer drop.
  • Hot Zones (the loot-rich marked area) are removed.

What changed about upgrades

  • Each location can have at most two Arsenals, and they only activate with EVO Harvesters.
  • The upgrade panel improves gear by only one tier, capped at purple. You cannot jump from white to gold in one stop anymore.

Where to find good gear now

  • Hit POIs with an active Arsenal (watch for the EVO Harvester that powers it). That is your reliable purple-tier source.
  • Care packages still hold the strongest weapons — see care package weapons.
  • Replicators remain for crafting specific attachments and ammo; learn the craft list for your main gun.
  • Without Hot Zones, spread your landing: contested drop spots are less automatically rewarded, so a quiet POI with an Arsenal is often better than a famous one.

Practical takeaway

Plan around one Arsenal per fight, not “land hot zone, get gold.” Your loadout ceiling is purple unless a care package drops, so prioritize gun choice (see weapon tier list) over hunting attachments that no longer exist.
