Apex Corrupted Attachments: The 5 Perks and Their Trade-offs

Season 30 added five Corrupted Attachments — powerful perks with a trade-off, one per gun. Which to run and when the downside is worth it.

Corrupted Attachments are Season 30’s biggest loadout twist: five powerful attachment effects, but you can run at most one per weapon, and each pairs a strong bonus with a real cost. They are not free upgrades — they are choices.

The five

Every effect below is verified against Respawn’s Marked patch notes and gamers.wiki’s attachment breakdown:

AttachmentWhat it improvesWhat it costs
Overflowing MagazineMagazine larger than any Purple magSlower reload
Headseeker BarrelHeadshot damage plus Purple-barrel-level recoil improvementWorse hipfire accuracy
Tactical LaserFaster reloads and Purple-laser-level hipfire accuracyWorse ADS recoil control
Agile Standard StockRemoves the weapon’s move-speed penalty; better ADS movement, reload and handlingSmaller magazine
Rapid Sniper StockHigher rate of fire with Purple-stock-level reload and handlingSmaller magazine

The exact numbers vary by weapon — a fired-shot test found Overflowing taking an R-99 from 27 to 33 rounds — so read the live attachment card before committing.

How to decide

  • Overflowing Magazine shines on guns you spray in sustained fights (LMGs, high-RPM SMGs) where the extra rounds beat the slower reload.
  • Rapid Sniper Stock is for marksman/sniper play where follow-up fire rate matters more than a deep magazine.
  • Headseeker Barrel rewards deliberate ADS players who go for heads; hipfire-reliant fighters pay the accuracy cost for nothing.
  • Tactical Laser fits hipfire-heavy close-range SMG and pistol play; it is a liability on guns you fire while aimed down sights.
  • Agile Standard Stock suits aggressive AR/SMG users who strafe while ADS — movement specialization over ammo capacity.

The trap

Because you only get one, don’t bolt on the “biggest number” attachment by reflex. Match the perk to how you actually fight the gun. A sniper stock on a hipfire SMG is wasted; an overflowing mag on a precision rifle can hurt more than help.
