ARC Raiders The Blue Gate: The Flexible Farming Map

The Blue Gate opens at 18 rounds and mixes open valley, buildings and underground routes. What Locked Gate's extra ten minutes is actually for.

What the map is

A gate structure and the surrounding valley, unlocked at 18 rounds played, rated a step above the starter maps. Its extraction is the airshaft, and the activation console sits directly outside the shaft rather than inside it — which matters more than it sounds, because it means the last few metres before extraction are exposed. The map’s advantage is variety. You can loot interiors, cross open valley, drop underground, and farm an event without changing maps. Rotations are short and the verticality is real, so fights tend to be about angle rather than range.

Locked Gate and the extra ten minutes

Under the Locked Gate condition the round stretches from thirty minutes to forty. Ten extra minutes sounds like a bonus and is, but only if you change your plan to use it. Most players spend those ten minutes doing the same route slower and finish with the same bag. The better use is a second pass: clear your first loop, extract nothing, and spend the extra time on the part of the map you normally skip because it was too far from your exit. On a forty-minute round the geometry changes — a route that was a gamble becomes a round trip. If you are going to use those minutes, plan the second loop before the raid, not during it. The other risk is that everyone stays longer. A forty-minute raid has a longer window in which other players are still on the map with full bags, so the last ten minutes is when the player contacts get expensive.

Who should farm here

Anyone with three or more quest steps spread across different objective types. The Blue Gate lets you stack them in one raid instead of paying three deployment costs. Quest items are marked on the surface with a diamond icon once the quest is picked up, and picking up quests before you queue is free value — see how quests work. It is also the right map for a solo player who wants options. Multiple route types means you can abandon one and switch rather than committing to a single corridor; the solo versus squad page covers the matchmaking split.

What it is not

It is not a boss map and not a high-roller map. If your goal is a single expensive item or a named large ARC, Riven Tides and the event conditions serve better. The Blue Gate is the map you run when the goal is progress — materials, quests, key finds — and the map ladder shows where it sits relative to both.
