Every default ARC Raiders keybind on PC, the controller and console settings that actually matter, and the graphics toggles that raise FPS and visibility.

The settings menu opens with ESC while you are in Speranza (lobby) or Topside (in a raid). You cannot open it while downed or spectating. PC players get the full set of options; PS5 and Xbox Series S/X have a smaller set.

On PlayStation and Xbox, movement is the left stick, fire is R2/RT, aim is L2/LT, and interact is Square/X. Shoulder Swap (swap the over-shoulder camera side) is the one bind worth rebinding immediately — third-person peeking is far safer when you can swap shoulders instead of exposing your body.

Controller and console settings

Controller players should leave aim assist enabled in mixed PC-and-console lobbies, then tune sensitivity so you can track both a near and a distant target without over-correcting. Community ranges that work: horizontal sensitivity around 65–85%, vertical 55–75%, inner dead zone 0.08–0.10 (catches stick drift without killing input), outer dead zone ~0.95. Use a Linear response curve as the starting point — it maps stick input directly to camera movement, so small flicks stay predictable — and turn camera acceleration off entirely. If you run Linear, some players drop aim assist to Low or Off because the curve already gives consistent tracking. Always validate changes in the Practice Range first.

Graphics for FPS and visibility

The competitive priority is a stable frame rate plus cleared sightlines, because foliage, fog, and heavy post-processing hide enemies. Recommended toggles: FOV 70–80 (push to the max the game allows on console), Motion Blur off, Global Illumination set to Static (the biggest FPS saver), Volumetric Fog low and Foliage low (real advantages during storms), DLSS/FSR Balanced with frame generation on, and View Distance high to prevent target pop-in.

HUD and accessibility

Keep Show Reload Progress and Show Damage Direction on — both give actionable info without looking away. ARC Raiders has deep crosshair customization in Accessibility: enable a high-contrast color (cyan, bright green, or pink) with a dark outline and a small center dot, and leave Move Crosshair When Line of Fire Is Blocked on so you can see where shots actually land from behind cover.

Network

Keep Crossplay on unless you have a reason not to, set the server region to the nearest/lowest-ping option, and separate your party voice and proximity voice push-to-talk binds so a squad call never becomes a public broadcast.

These settings pair with the loot container guide and the Night Raid loot maps and Stella Montis loot, since Night Raid is also when blueprint farming is best. For boss-level threats see the Matriarch guide.
