Battlefield 6 Final Boss: Inside the Final Mission

Battlefield 6's campaign ends with Always Forward, not a boss bar: the NXC silos, the Pax jet, the Kincaid confrontation, and what counts as a boss.

Battlefield 6 does have a campaign, and it does have a last mission. What it does not have is a boss with a health bar. The finale is called Always Forward, it runs in Tajikistan, and the thing standing between you and the credits is a missile launch rather than a monster.

The final mission, in order

You play Sergeant Dylan Murphy, moving with Dagger 1-3 against a Pax Armata stronghold. The beats run in a fixed sequence:

  1. Clear the approach outpost. A mounted gun opens on the squad immediately, and there is no sniper rifle waiting for you this time. A grenade launcher and cover work instead.
  2. Reach the overlook. Gecko calls in an airstrike, and the run down the hill to the silos starts under artillery.
  3. Disable the NXC launchers. Two hypersonic missile silos, Alpha and Bravo, both carrying NXC warheads. Let either launch and the mission fails. Bravo is the more heavily fortified of the two.
  4. Find Alex Kincaid. Into the bunker and the control room, clearing resistance on the way.
  5. Escape. Mills cuts communications and sends a bomber at the site. You fight out to the roof as the facility comes apart.

What actually functions as the boss

Two things, and both are vehicles rather than characters.

The first is the Pax jet on the approach to the Alpha silo. It has to come down before you can work the console, and it takes an anti-vehicle weapon rather than rifle fire. Treat it as a single-target encounter with an approach window.

The second is the Bravo silo approach, which is a fortified position rather than a fight: watchtowers, mounted guns and a breached perimeter. The squad’s tank opens the wall, but the gunners behind it still need clearing.

Neither has a health bar, and neither forgives being ignored. That is as close to a boss as this campaign gets.

Why the ending is not a fight

Kincaid is captured rather than fought. During the interrogation he explains that Mills and a mole inside the CIA were behind the creation of Pax Armata, and Hemlock kills him before he can say more. Mills then severs comms with Dagger and calls in a strike.

So the last act is an escape, not a duel. If you expected a showdown, that is the mismatch worth knowing before you start: the tension is a countdown, and the resolution is a betrayal in a cutscene.

What to bring

An anti-vehicle launcher earns its slot, because the jet and the silo defences both need one. A sniper rifle helps on the tower gunners and the artillery crews across the open ground. On the silo run, movement discipline beats accuracy, since stopping to trade fire in the open is what fails the mission.

For the dog tags along the route, the collectibles guide has the locations, including the one in the hangar at the first outpost.

If you wanted the multiplayer answer

There is no final boss there either, but the encounters that fill the role are worth knowing. The boss fight page lists what actually fights back in a match and how to kill it.
