Battlefield 6 Season 4 Roadmap: Pacific Front to Tidal
Every Battlefield 6 Season 4 update with dates: Tsuru Reef, Top Gun and Wake Island, Tidal Strike, and what changed for queues
Season 4 is the biggest season of Battlefield 6 so far. It ran from July to September 2026 in three phases. Here is everything that shipped and when.
Phase 1: Pacific Front (July 21)
The season opened with naval warfare:
- Tsuru Reef, the largest map in the game. A tropical archipelago with a NATO base under joint Japanese control, besieged by Pax Armata. Full breakdown on the Tsuru Reef page.
- Two naval vehicles: the armored RCB-90 patrol boat with cannon and mortars, and the fast 7.7m NSW RHIB transport.
- A dynamic wave system. Waves move your boat, throw off aim, and block line of sight.
- Three new weapons: the EF88 assault rifle, the BROD 3 carbine, and the DRM VSSM suppressed sniper.
Phase 2: Top Gun (August 18)
The biggest crossover in the game’s history arrived as part of Season 4 on August 18, 2026.
- Wake Island returned, rebuilt around carrier warfare. Both teams spawn aboard aircraft carriers that double as destructible objectives. The Wake Island page covers the layout.
- Two new two-seat jets: the F/A-81F Super Spectre and the F-74A Seacat. Pilots fly while co-pilots handle weapons and electronic warfare. Solo players in a two-seat jet fight at a disadvantage.
- Top Gun: Carrier Strike. Capture missile launch sites, breach the enemy carrier’s hull, then fight inside the vessel for the final objective.
- Gauntlet: Fighter Sweep, a REDSEC mode scored by downing jets and destroying stockpiles.
- The Interdictor, a suppressed sniper rifle unlocked through challenges and the longest-range sniper in the game.
- Ace Medals, a limited-time currency for Top Gun cosmetics.
- The CJTF Helix squad unit, inspired by the film’s characters.
- Rooster, Bob, and Warlock appear as voiced characters, played by Miles Teller, Lewis Pullman, and Charles Parnell.
- USS Grant, a crashed carrier POI in Fort Lyndon’s battle royale map with higher-value loot, marked as a High Value Zone at launch.
- Custom Lobbies and Spectator Mode arrived through Battlefield Labs, with spectator support starting on battle royale quads and Conquest.
- An optional ADS dispersion crosshair that expands as accuracy drops while firing.
- The game was free to play from August 18 to 25 across six modes and four maps.
Phase 3: Tidal Strike (September 15)
The season finale brought the Deep Six Collection Event. It offers high-tier hardware packages and naval rewards for squads that finish specialized contracts. A diver’s knife joined as a new melee weapon, and REDSEC gained proximity chat.
What changed for matchmaking
EA made playlist adjustments across all regions during the season to improve queue times and match quality. The goal was to concentrate players in active modes while keeping Portal and Custom Search as alternatives. If your favorite mode felt emptier, this is why.
What comes next
Season 4 closed the Pacific arc. EA continues to ship balance patches between seasons, with the stated focus on underperforming weapons. Watch the official Battlefield site for season announcements rather than leak sites.
