Targeting a hull you cannot penetrate

Its top hull sits at armor value 6. Applying the rule from the armor penetration guide, an AP below 6 ricochets and an equal AP deals reduced damage, which is why ordinary primaries are genuinely useless against its shell. Do not spend resupply on it. The exploitable targets are the red sensor eye on the head, the belly undercarriage, and the leg joints. Killing the leg joints can bring the whole walker down, following the same logic that makes leg-focused fire effective on the smaller walkers. Its back turret is separately destructible, and destroying it meaningfully lowers the pressure it puts on the squad. Because these are distributed weak points rather than one clean one, the shape of the fight is “focus anti-tank fire into a specific spot while someone else handles everything it spawns.”

Running it as an objective

Assign roles immediately. One player manages the troopers it keeps producing, one draws or blocks the main guns, and everyone else works the head, belly, or joints with anti-tank support weapons. Movement rules are simple but strict: never stand directly in front of it, and use terrain to break its cannon lines. Losing even a second of sightline discipline to the chin laser costs a Helldiver. As with other super-heavies, stun will not rescue you here — heavy units resist the buildup described in the stun meter guide. Treat “how many shots” advice from elsewhere as unreliable; exact values shift between patches, so verify in-game.
