Martin's Heritage vs Radzig's Heritage in KCD2

The mutually exclusive end-game main perk choice in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, and how to decide based on your weapon and skill focus.

What each does

  • Martin’s Heritage — improves your Swords, Crafting, and Survival skills faster. It is the pick for a blade-focused Henry who also wants to forge and live off the land.
  • Radzig’s Heritage — improves Heavy Weapons, Marksmanship, and Scholarship faster, and adds a small bonus to Marksmanship on top. It is the pick for a heavy-weapon or ranged Henry. Both are gated at Main level 10, so neither is available early — but the decision shapes your late-game curve.

How to decide

Ask which weapon you actually use:

  • If your build is Sword-and-board with the Master Strike, take Martin’s.
  • If you favor polearms, maces, or the crossbow/bow, take Radzig’s — the extra Marksmanship bonus is real for ranged play. There is no wrong answer, only a mismatch with your playstyle. Because KCD2 has no respec, pair this choice with the rest of your committed perks rather than treating it in isolation.

If you are still undecided

Look at the weapon you reached for in the last ten fights. Players who naturally gravitated to sword and board through the early game feel no loss with Martin, while those who kept swapping to the crossbow during KCD2’s many ranged skirmishes get more from Radzig’s Marksmanship bonus. Neither choice blocks the story, so treat it as a late-game efficiency pick rather than a make-or-break decision. A note for blacksmiths: Martin’s Heritage speeds Crafting, which synergizes with Martin’s Secret (the fourth crafting-quality perk covered in the blacksmithing guide) — so a crafting Henry should strongly lean Martin.
