Phasmophobia 13 Willow Street Rework: v0.18 Changes
The map was rebuilt on July 21, 2026 in version 0.18, free on all platforms: refreshed rooms, new hiding spots, new lore and the Deildegast ghost.
The 13 Willow Street rework was one of the most significant map updates in Phasmophobia’s history, and if you last played the map before July 2026 your mental layout is obsolete. This page covers what the version 0.18 rework changed and why it matters for investigation.
When and how
Per Kinetic Games’ June 2026 roadmap, the rework shipped on July 21, 2026 as a free update on all platforms (PC, PS5, Xbox Series). It followed complete overhauls of Grafton Farmhouse, Bleasdale Farmhouse, and 6 Tanglewood Drive, with 13 Willow Street being the next map brought up to the team’s development standard.
What changed in the map
- Room refreshes — layouts, lighting, and room purpose were updated.
- Tweaked hiding spots — the safe spots you memorized may no longer exist or may have moved.
- Integrated lore — never-before-seen story content was woven into the map.
- Character models — the rework arrived alongside the first of two major quality-of-life updates improving player character models, animations, and customization.
The Deildegast ghost
Version 0.18 also introduced the Deildegast, a new ghost defined by EMF 5, Ghost Writing, and D.O.T.S. It starts fast in a hunt and slows as it interacts with objects — full behavior on the Mimic, Obake, Deildegast page. Its arrival is one reason the ghost count ticked up around this update.
Why relearn it
Because the rework moved hiding spots and room purposes, old walkthroughs and “best hiding spot” lists for 13 Willow Street are unreliable. Pair a fresh map read with the evidence types page and the identification order guide rather than muscle memory. The 1.0 preview explains the even bigger overhaul still to come.
What to do on your first post-rework contract
Do not rely on a remembered route. On the first investigation after the rework, sweep the building with a thermometer to re-establish the ghost room from scratch, note where the new hiding spots actually are before you need them, and keep a fresh Tier III crucifix handy because the reshuffled layout changes which corners a hunt can corner you in. The Deildegast’s interaction-slow mechanic (covered on the liars page) also rewards moving objects between hunts, which is easier to do deliberately once you know the new room flow. Treat the first few runs as reconnaissance, not speed runs.
