Space Marine 2 Sniper Class Guide

The Sniper removes threats before they reach the line. Cloak, weak-point marks, and a rifle that ends Extremis at range. A guide to playing the longest sightline.

The cloak buys the first shot

Sniper’s cloak lets you reposition and take an unpunished opening shot on a priority target. The sniper guide covers the weapons, but the habit is to cloak, relocate to a sightline the squad is not using, and delete a Majoris before it reaches the Bulwark. The classes overview frames Sniper as the ranged specialist, and the cloak is what keeps that specialist alive when the horde finally closes.

Weak points are the whole damage plan

A sniper rifle that misses the mark is just noise. Aim for the revealed weak point, and a single well-placed shot can stagger or execute an elite. The perks guide lists perks that extend cloak and boost weak-point damage, and those are the ones worth taking for this class. Spraying a Sniper’s magazine is a confession that you are not playing the class. One shot, one mark, repeat.

Sniper controls space at range

Your job is to thin enemies before they arrive, not to fight what is already on the line. A Sniper who drops into melee range has abandoned the only advantage the class has. Hold the long sightline, and the squad’s front becomes manageable because fewer enemies reach it. When the horde is on top of the team, fall back to a new angle rather than trying to melee your way out.

Play with the squad, not apart

Cloak tempts players to solo, but a Sniper who strays gets flanked and dies fast. Stay close enough that the Bulwark can screen you and the Tactical can scan your targets. Independence is a tool, not a lifestyle. The best Sniper is the one the squad forgets is there until the threat it was removing suddenly is not.
