THE FINALS Embark ID: Account, Crossplay, and Friends

Your Embark ID holds all THE FINALS progress and purchases. How to create one, enable crossplay, and add friends across platforms

Your Embark ID is your THE FINALS account. Progress, purchases, and cosmetics are tied to it, and it is the only way to play with friends on another platform. Setting it up takes five minutes and saves headaches later.

What the Embark ID holds

Everything. Your level, your battle pass, your Multibucks balance, and every cosmetic you own live on the Embark ID. This is what lets you move between PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S without losing anything.

Purchases cannot be transferred between two different Embark IDs. If you ever need to switch accounts, the store items stay behind.

Creating and linking

Create your Embark ID at id.embark.games, then link the platforms you play on. Steam, PlayStation Network, and Xbox accounts all attach to the same Embark ID. Do this before you spend anything, because retroactive merging is not supported.

A platform account can only live on one Embark ID, which is why a shared console is the usual cause of “my progress is gone” posts — the console is simply still signed into someone else’s ID.

Enabling crossplay

  1. Open Settings, then Gameplay, then Network.
  2. Turn Crossplay on. PC, PS5, and Xbox players share the same matches.
  3. Open Social and select Add Friend.
  4. Add your friend by their Embark ID.

Platform friends lists are not enough. A Steam friend is not automatically a THE FINALS friend. The Embark ID is the only bridge.

Party bonuses

Playing in a party pays XP. Two players get a 7.5 percent bonus and three or more get 10 percent. That bonus speeds battle pass and World Tour progress, so there is no reason to queue solo.

Family Sharing and controllers

Steam Family Sharing works with THE FINALS. Controllers are supported on PC, so a gamepad is a full alternative to keyboard and mouse.

  • Buying a battle pass before linking platforms.
  • Expecting platform friends to carry over.
  • Playing solo and losing the party XP bonus.

Login problems usually trace back to the ID link, and the login failed page covers the errors that look like a ban but are not.

Crossplay itself is covered on the crossplay page, including how the input pools split.
