Apex Season 30 Patch Notes: Marked Update Explained
Season 30 Marked (Aug 4, 2026): the Bloodhound rework, energy ammo overhaul, Corrupted Attachments, World's Edge rework, and loot changes explained.
Season 30, titled Marked, went live August 4, 2026, with a mid-season balance pass on August 25, and runs through early November. If you skipped the official notes, here is what actually changed the game.
Legends
- Bloodhound — full rework. Passive now leaves a glowing enemy trail; White Ravens range and activate on a glance; the Tactical adds “snapshot” scans after the first; the Ultimate is Allfather’s Cloak, a field that cloaks teammates (≈12s after leaving, or until you take damage or fire). Full breakdown in the Bloodhound rework guide.
- Buffs: Loba (faster, larger Black Market) and Rampart (faster, tougher Amped Walls; mobile Sheila).
- Nerfs: Axle, Seer, and Valkyrie — Axle’s changes are detailed in the Axle guide.
Weapons and loot systems
- Energy ammo overhaul: energy guns (Havoc, Nemesis, Volt, Devotion, RE-45, Triple Take, L-STAR) now carry self-regenerating stockpiles instead of lootable ammo. See the energy weapons guide.
- Corrupted Attachments: five new high-risk, high-reward mods (Overflowing Mag, Headseeker Barrel, Tactical Laser, Agile Standard Stock, Rapid Sniper Stock). Covered in the Corrupted Attachments guide.
- Loot streamlined: gold attachments and gold/mythic bins removed from the pool, bin resets removed, and Arsenals are time-locked until Evo Harvesters activate. Details in the loot changes guide.
- UI stat overhaul: a new Playground tab in the lobby shows real weapon stats and how attachments change them.
Map
- World’s Edge rework: Sorting Factory and Construction Stacks returned; East Village, Tree Settlement, and War Camp replaced older POIs. See the World’s Edge rework and landing spots.
- Core rotation is World’s Edge / Storm Point / E-District.
Ranked
Ranked ladders were extended to a 5-day duration. Season 31 is teased to add Diamond+ Legend bans, an account-level-20 Ranked unlock, and demotion shields. The ranked system guide covers the current ladder.
The takeaway
Season 30 rewards weapon choice and positioning over loot luck — the loot pool is leaner, so fights are decided by gun synergy (energy vs. the new attachments) and map knowledge. Start with the weapon tier list and work outward.
