World's Edge Rework in Season 30: New POIs and Endgames
World's Edge was rebuilt for Season 30: new POIs, returning Sorting Factory and Stacks, night-time lighting. Where to land and how endgames play.
World’s Edge got its biggest overhaul since the original. Respawn’s goal was to reduce disparity between POIs and bring back fan favorites — and to give Bloodhound’s rework new stages to shine on.
What changed
- East Village replaced Climatizer (added rock/tree cover and ziplines to the Dam).
- War Camp replaced Survey Camp.
- Tree Settlement replaced The Tree.
- Sorting Factory and Construction Stacks returned — the latter restoring the original camp and adding cover.
- A night-time visual overhaul changes visibility across the map.
Where to land
- Sorting Factory is the marquee return: central train-tunnel connections make it a high-traffic, high-reward drop. Expect fights.
- Fragment (Monument) restored its stacks/construction building, spreading combat out instead of funneling it.
- Countdown improved its underground vault loot — a quieter alternative with a payoff.
How endgames play
The rework favors vertical, tight fights around industrial POIs. Night lighting means pre-aiming sightlines is harder, so scans (see Bloodhound rework) and movement legends (Pathfinder, Octane) gain value. Plan rotations toward train tunnels and ziplines rather than open fields.
