ARC Raiders 30-Minute Raid: How to Budget Time and Route

A raid in ARC Raiders lasts 30 minutes, but the valuable window is shorter. Budget the clock, find extraction first, and see why leaving early pays.

A raid in ARC Raiders is capped at 30 minutes, but treating that as 30 minutes of looting is the mistake that gets new players killed. The clock is not your friend — the longer you stay, the more the map fills with machines and rival Raiders, and the final minutes are when everyone converges on the same exits.

Split the raid into three phases

  • Opening (first 2–3 minutes): orient and locate your extraction point before you touch a crate. Knowing where to run is worth more than one extra pickup.
  • Middle: do your looting and quest steps along a route that always trends back toward extraction. Pick up on the way out, not on the way in.
  • Closing (last 5–8 minutes): stop taking new fights and move to the exit. The departure sequence itself takes time, so arriving early beats arriving alive-but-late.

The risk curve

Enemy and player pressure rises the longer you remain. Once your objective is secured, every additional minute in-raid is pure risk with zero reward. This is why “leave earlier than you want to” is a core habit — the greedy last crate is the one that kills the run.

Route logic that saves time

Stack quests by map and objective type before you deploy. Pair a gathering step with an exploration visit, and let ARC-kill contracts ride on routes you were already crossing. If one quest needs rare loot and another sends you near a landmark, grab the rare loot first and tick the low-risk visit on the way to extraction.

Tie it together

Find the exit first using the extraction mechanics, keep the death penalty in mind from the beginner death-loss page, and remember that quest items must come out with you per the extract-with rule. Time spent planning the route is time the map cannot take from you.
