ARC Raiders Weak Points: Where to Put the Damage
ARC machines are not damage sponges if you hit the right place. Learning where to shoot turns a long fight into a short one, and a short fight is a live raider.
Damage placement beats damage volume
Spraying a machine’s armored shell wastes the rounds you may need later. Most ARC enemies have exposed sections that take far more hurt per shot, and finding them is the difference between a fight you control and a fight that controls you. The enemy threat guide maps the common types so you know what you are facing before you commit. The large ARC guide covers the bigger machines, which is where weak-point discipline matters most. A wrong-angle mag dump on a heavy unit is how squads get wiped.
Use intel before you use ammo
Before opening fire, observe which part of the machine reacts. Exposed joints, rear housings, and unarmored sensors are the usual candidates, but the exact spots vary by unit and patch. The combat guide stresses target priority, and priority starts with where, not how much. When you are unsure, land a few test shots and watch the damage feedback. Confirmed placement beats assumed placement every time.
Focus fire, do not spread
A squad that splits damage across a machine’s whole body kills it slower than a squad that stacks every round on one weak point. Call the target part, and keep the whole group on it until the unit drops. This is especially true against the larger ARC, where a focused group ends the threat before reinforcements arrive. Spread fire just extends the window where the machine is still shooting back.
Read the weak point before you commit
Every ARC machine has an exposed core that takes extra damage, so spot it before you burn your best ammo on armored plating. The materials guide page covers what you scavenge from a clean kill. A raid that finds the seam extracts richer.
