How to Get Praxic Blade in Destiny 2
Praxic Blade is the Renegades exotic sword. Learn its fixed source, intrinsic throw, catalysts, and the best classes to pair it with.
Praxic Blade is an Exotic Sword added in Destiny 2: Renegades, and unlike older exotics it does not rotate through Xûr or the Monument to Lost Light. Its source is fixed: the Fire and Ice Exotic mission tied to the Renegades campaign. Clear that mission once to unlock the Blade in your Collections, then replay it for catalysts and higher tiers.
What makes it special
Praxic Blade is throwable, a direct nod to a lightsaber. Tap heavy attack to hurl the blade, which seeks nearby targets, and attacking recalls it mid-flight. Hold heavy attack instead to fire a straight, harder-hitting throw in your aim direction. That mix of ranged poke and recall is what separates it from every other sword.
Its traits reinforce an aggressive, deflect-focused style. Cormorant Reversal converts incoming projectiles into bolts that reflect toward your aim while you guard. Cormorant Combo lets three rapid light attacks into a quick heavy attack trigger a heavier melee combo.
Catalysts
There are four catalysts. Three come from secrets inside the Fire and Ice mission: Echoing Blade (more throw targets), Upper Hand (bonus damage on thrown and reflected shots while above the target), and Hyperblade (reflecting shots grants Amplified and a longer lunge). The fourth, Energy Conduit, comes from the Equilibrium dungeon via the quest The Way Between and grants health regeneration scaled to how many targets the throw hits. Higher catalyst tiers need Legendary difficulty on the mission.
Best class pairings
Titans get the most out of the deflect fantasy, especially with a defensive exotic. Warlocks pair it with a rift for steady healing during swings. Hunters value the burst and mobility. In PvE it is a strong all-rounder; in PvP the charged throw can delete a Guardian, but the deflect does not block most damage, so it stays a niche pick.
