Destiny 2 Zealous Ideal God Roll: PvP and PvE Perks
The Zealous Ideal solar auto rifle earns its keep with the right perks. Here are the god rolls for PvP and PvE.
You pulled a Zealous Ideal from the Equilibrium Dungeon and the random perks leave you unsure if it is worth a vault slot. The gun is good, but only with the right column four combo.
Zealous Ideal is a Solar Heat auto rifle added with the Renegades expansion. It does not use a normal magazine. It builds heat as you fire and vents for a partial reload, which lets it stay on target far longer than a standard 450rpm precision auto. It drops from the Equilibrium Dungeon, and you improve your odds by attuning through the “The Way Between” quest. It is not a Trials of Osiris weapon, so don’t chase it in the weekend playlist.
Column three and column four perk pool
The rollable perk pool is the real constraint. Column three can roll Cooling Baubles, Delicate Tuning, Heal Clip, Zen Moment, Gutshot Straight, Attrition Orbs, or Dynamic Sway Reduction. Column four can roll Thermal Atomization, Onslaught, Adagio, One For All, Tap the Trigger, Burning Ambition, or Incandescent. The Origin Trait is always Imperial Allegiance, which speeds cooling while you stand near allies.
PvE god roll
Go with Heal Clip in column three and Incandescent in column four. Heal Clip heals you the moment you start venting after a kill, which keeps you alive during long dungeon fights. Incandescent spreads Scorch on final blows, so your add-clear chains through packed groups and feeds any Solar build.
If you want more uptime instead of healing, swap Heal Clip for Attrition Orbs to print Orbs of Power for your armor mods. For straight damage, One For All in column four adds a big damage buff after you hit three separate targets. Read the weapon perks guide if you want the finer numbers on each perk.
PvP god roll
In Crucible, take Dynamic Sway Reduction or Zen Moment in column three. Both steady your aim the longer you hold the trigger, which matters on a precision auto that rewards sustained fire. Pair it with Onslaught in column four for a fire-rate bump after each kill, or Adagio if you prefer a harder-hitting shot. Tap the Trigger also rolls here and helps the opening duels.
These rolls are not flashy, but they fix the gun’s one weak spot: consistency under pressure. See the broader god rolls guide for how this stacks against other primaries.
Farm the dungeon with attunement on and keep any roll that lands Heal Clip plus Incandescent or Dynamic Sway Reduction plus Onslaught, because those are the rolls that actually perform.
