Nox Guide: Silent Assault and Deep Trauma Pressure

Deep Trauma makes every hit cost the enemy a heal. How to run Silent Assault, land the Whirlwind Disc, and exploit the minimap blackout.

Nox (Elio de Montbel) is an Assault operator built for infiltration rather than breach. He does not blind a lane with smoke and walk through it. He removes himself from the enemy’s information picture, hits, and leaves the target worse off than the damage alone would suggest.

What Deep Trauma actually does

His trait is a tax, not a damage buff. Every enemy Nox damages takes longer to use medical items, and a downed enemy takes longer to revive. In Warfare the same trait delays health regeneration outright.

That changes target priority. Shooting the enemy medic’s patient is worth more than shooting the medic, because the heal window you just extended is the resource your squad is actually fighting against. In Operations, a knocked player whose revive timer is stretched is a player the enemy squad has to commit bodies to — or abandon. It is a modifier on the standard timers rather than a flat number, so the value of the ability is that it extends every timer at once — plan around the extension, not the multiplier.

Silent Assault entry lines

Silent Assault is tactical gear, and it is the reason Nox can take routes other Assault operators cannot. It runs sound and recon jammers: your noise footprint shrinks and you drop off the minimap. In Operations, enemy recon gadgets can only resolve your starting position rather than your current one. In Warfare, you are effectively undetectable while it is up.

Two consequences follow. First, entry should happen while it is active, not before — walking a loud route first wastes the whole gear cycle. Second, you cannot use it as a panic button mid-duel; the value is in the approach, while nothing has seen you yet.

Whirlwind Disc as a finisher

Throw the Whirlwind Disc at someone who has already broken line of sight. Once it locks, it tracks, and on proximity it detonates into blades that bleed, damage, and slow everything nearby. That combination is what makes it a finisher: the slow stops the escape, the bleed keeps the damage running while you reposition.

Do not open with it. An enemy who is still watching the angle can break the lock attempt by moving before it settles. Open with the Tactical Flashbang or a rifle burst, then send the disc after the retreat. The flashbang detonates a beat after it hits a surface, which is long enough for a defender to have committed to an angle.

Reading the minimap blackout

Your own concealment tells you something about the enemy. Squads that rely on recon pings start guessing the moment those pings stop being reliable — they hold angles longer, they double back, they cluster. Watch for that hesitation and take the space it gives you rather than chasing the kill.

Where he is weakest

Open ground with multiple watchers. Silent Assault hides you from systems, not from eyes, and a player looking directly at your route still sees you. Sustained fights also punish him: his kit has no sustain, so a long trade is one he loses by attrition. Pair him with a healer like Stinger and let Luna or Hackclaw supply the picture you are denying the enemy.
