Helldivers 2 Eagle Stratagems: One Rearm, Shared by All

Every Eagle strike draws from the same rearm. Why bringing three Eagles weakens each of them, and how to build the air slot properly.

How the pool works

Each Eagle stratagem has a limited number of uses. When they are gone you call an Eagle rearm, which reloads all of your Eagle stratagems at once — not one at a time. That single rule changes the math completely. Bring one Eagle and the rearm restores one full set. Bring three and the rearm restores three, but you burned three slots to get there and your first pass now has to cover three different problems with a shared count. In practice, a three-Eagle loadout often runs dry in the middle of a fight it should have won. The design conclusion: one, or at most two Eagles. Pick the strike that solves your most expensive problem and let Orbitals or a support weapon cover the rest.

What the Eagles are good at

Eagles are precision and speed. They arrive fast, hit a defined area, and are the answer to a target you have already located — a Hulk in a trench, a Titan crossing open ground, a group stacked behind one rock. They are bad at sustained area denial. A barrage that lasts thirty seconds is an Orbital’s job; an Eagle’s job is one pass and a decision.

The rearm timing

The rearm is not instant and it is not free: calling it spends the moment when you might have needed a strike. So the discipline is to rearm before the fight where you will need it, not after. A squad that rearms while walking between objectives never has an empty Eagle when the breach opens. Watch the count in the corner rather than guessing. Running out mid-fight is the most common way a good loadout fails, and it is entirely avoidable.

Building the air slot

The pairing that works: one Eagle for the armoured problem, one Orbital for the dense area, and a support weapon for everything in between. If you are dropping on a defence mission, swap the Eagle for a sentry and let the fixed position do the work — see the sentry page. Which specific Eagles are worth a slot depends on the faction: bugs cluster and bots spread out. The best stratagems page sorts by that split, and the orbital page explains the other half of the air budget.
