Helldivers 2 Stratagem Jammers: Why Stratagems Stop

Stratagem Jammers disable Reinforce and your own stratagems in a radius. They appear on Automaton missions and as objectives - destroy it or leave range.

What a jammer does

Inside a jammer’s radius, your stratagems will not call down — that includes Reinforce, so a downed teammate cannot be brought back until the jammer is dealt with. The jammer also stops your own offensive and support stratagems, which can leave you weaponless against a defended position.

Where they appear

Jammers show up on Automaton missions and as dedicated objectives. They are usually guarded, so you cannot simply stroll in. Knowing what you face helps: use the weak-point logic on the enemy armor values page to plan the fight at the jammer site.

How to deal with it

You have two options: destroy the jammer, or move yourself and your team out of its radius. Destroying it restores stratagem function for the area, which is almost always the right call when it blocks the mission. Until then, your only tools are your primary, your support weapon, and your legs — exactly why the reinforce budget rule about managing lives gets dangerous near a jammer, since you cannot bring anyone back.

Breaking the jammer

The jammer itself is a device you can destroy — shoot or melee the emitter rather than fighting the whole garrison first. Because Reinforce is blocked inside the radius, a downed teammate stays down until you clear it, so prioritize the emitter the moment the jammer is spotted. On higher-difficulty Automaton missions jammers are more common, so expect them and plan a dedicated runner to silence it. Some jammers are themselves required objectives, so destroying them is also how you complete the mission rather than an optional convenience.
