Hunt: Showdown Compound Rotation Guide
Rotating compounds is how you control the map instead of reacting to it. When to push, when to bypass, and how to read the bounty pressure.
Listen between compounds
Gunfire and the bounty carrier tell you where the fight is, so rotate toward sound only when you are ready to join it. A compound that goes quiet after a fight is where the loot and the dead team are. The compounds guide maps the high-value compounds to learn first.
Bypass the brawl
You do not have to take every compound. Skirt the edge of a contested bounty and pick off the winner as they extract, which is lower risk than the initial brawl. The clue routing page covers how to progress your own bounty without walking into the main fight.
Control the crossroads
The compounds that sit between the bounty and the nearest extract are the real power positions. Hold one and you tax everyone leaving the fight. The maps guide shows which compounds gate the common exit routes.
Rotate on the timer
As the match clock runs down, the play area and the extract pressure change your math. Push late compounds only if the bounty is still live; otherwise camp the exit. The solo route page covers the same logic for a lone Hunter.
Take the compound after the fight
The safest loot in Hunt is the crate on the team that just won the bounty brawl, not the brawl itself. Rotate to the winning compound as they extract, and pick off the wounded survivor. The extract safety page covers how to leave with what you took without starting a second fight.
Sound tells you where to go
A compound that goes quiet after sustained fire is where the loot and the dead team are, so rotate there once the noise stops. The death audio page explains how to read the battlefield by ear. Move on sound, and you arrive after the fight instead of during it.
