Hunt 2.9 Solo Route: Hidden Extractions Edition
Most route advice assumes a duo or trio. Solo players get hidden extractions, no trade-fire cover and no revive. A one-person route built on clue reveals.
The solo opening is different
A squad can send one member to a Scout Tower while the rest push. Solo, every detour is a personal cost. So the efficient solo opening leans on the two free extractions a clue reveals rather than on looting towers. Your first move is to scope the area with a Spyglass as you move toward clue one, popping hidden icons passively instead of committing to a tower run.
Minimize committed crossings
Because you cannot be in two places, treat every long crossing as a bet you cannot hedge. Prefer a revealed extraction near your bounty compound over a “better” one across the map. The 30-second extraction countdown also freezes when contested, and alone you have no teammate to clear the point — so pick exits with a single clean approach rather than a central, high-traffic one.
Cover your death modes
Solo, the four failure patterns hit harder because no one revives you. Watch your audio signature (a solo hunter who fires is the only thing making noise), your positioning (no partner watches your back), your timing (no trade window), and your loadout (a Spyglass is now near-mandatory, not optional). Each of those pages breaks down one cause of death; together they are the solo survival checklist.
Extraction as the win condition
You do not need the bounty to “win” a solo run — you need to extract with your hunter and any loot alive. When the route to the token looks like a forced fight you cannot win alone, extracting without the bounty preserves the hunter and the gear for the next run. In 2.9, where information is scarce and crossings are risky, that discipline matters more than ever. The 2.9 hidden-info page explains why the old “rush the nearest exit” habit is now a liability.
