The recipes

Saviour Schnapps — Wine + 1 Nettle + 2 Belladonna. Boil nettle 2 turns, grind belladonna and add, boil 1 turn, pour. It is your manual save button; the strong version also boosts Strength, Vitality, and Agility. Brew your own instead of buying from taverns. (Full detail in the save system guide.) Marigold Decoction — Water + 1 Nettle + 2 Marigold. Heals over time and clears hangovers. Cheap and everywhere; keep ten on hand. Aqua Vitalis — Water + 2 Dandelion + 1 Marigold. Reduces health loss and slows bleeding. Fast to brew and a great Alchemy XP source. Artemisia — Spiritus + 2 Wormwood + 1 Sage. Raises Strength for ten minutes; the strong version also cuts attack and block stamina cost. A combat buff. Buck’s Blood — Oil + 1 St. John’s Wort + 1 Comfrey + 1 Dandelion. Raises stamina and (strong) regeneration. Pair with stamina management. Cockerel — Spiritus + 2 Mint + 1 Valerian. Restores energy and slows fatigue, so you can sprint, fight, and travel without nodding off. Lion Perfume — Spiritus + 2 Sage + 2 Mint. A large short-lived Charisma bump. Both herbs grow free in Emmerich’s front garden in Troskowitz, which makes this your first money-maker. Digestive Potion — Water + 2 Thistle + 1 Nettle + 1 Charcoal. Cures food poisoning, which wrecks your stats if ignored. Nighthawk — Water + 2 Eyebright + 1 Belladonna. Night vision for stealth runs.

Brewing tips

Dry herbs on a rack so they do not spoil. The Secret of Equilibrium perk (Alchemy level 8) lets you ignore small mistakes and make higher-quality potions. Brewing manually once unlocks the Routine perk, which enables auto-brew for batch production. Alchemy is the rare system that pays you back in both survival and Groschen — which is exactly why the money-making guide leads with it.
