Space Marine 2 Controller & Mouse Settings

Space Marine 2 mixes ranged shooting with close-quarters melee, so the right settings are about predictable aiming and readable attacks, not maximum sensitivity. Most players fix two or three things and immediately feel the difference.

Controller

• Aim assist: High. Found under the Camera tab (not Controls). On High it snaps to an enemy’s torso when you aim, which makes headshots easy against PvE enemies. Lower it only if it pulls you off priority targets.
• Sensitivity: around 7 horizontal, slightly lower vertical to avoid overcorrecting at elevated enemies. Medium-low aim sensitivity for bolters and plasma.
• Camera shake: Off. The game already has dense effects and blood; extra shake hides incoming attacks during swarms.
• Vibration: optional. Reduced or off makes sustained bolter fire and boss attacks steadier.

Mouse and keyboard

• Disable mouse acceleration at the system level for consistent muscle memory, then pick a moderate sensitivity that allows a 180 without lifting the mouse repeatedly.
• Rebind aim off middle mouse to a side button. Melee is crucial in this game and you want it on a key you can spam; set aim to Toggle.
• ADS sensitivity slightly lower than hip-fire for cleaner tracking and headshots.

Test where it matters

After changing anything, test in a dense combat encounter, not an empty hub.
