Vesper's Host Dungeon Loot: VS Weapons and Ice Breaker
Where every Vesper's Host drop comes from, which encounter farms VS Chill Inhibitor fastest, and how checkpoint farming works
Vesper’s Host is the Europa dungeon from Episode: Revenant. It has three encounters, and each one drops different loot. Knowing which encounter holds your target roll saves hours.
The loot table
| Weapon | Type | Element | Encounter |
|---|---|---|---|
| VS Chill Inhibitor | Heavy grenade launcher | Stasis | Vesper Station |
| VS Gravitic Arrest | Fusion rifle | Void | Vesper Station, Corrupted Puppeteer |
| VS Velocity Baton | Special grenade launcher | Void | Raneiks Unified, Corrupted Puppeteer |
| VS Pyroelectric Propellant | Auto rifle | Arc | Raneiks Unified, Corrupted Puppeteer |
| Ice Breaker | Exotic sniper rifle | Solar | Corrupted Puppeteer only |
All four VS weapons share the Bray Legacy origin trait. It grants ability energy on kill for whichever ability is closest to charged. That makes every VS gun a decent support pick even without a perfect roll.
Which encounter to farm
Chill Inhibitor is the prize of the pool. It drops from the first encounter, so you can get there in minutes. Farm the first fight, not the full clear.
Gravitic Arrest and Velocity Baton each come from two of the three encounters. Target the encounter that drops the roll you want. Full clears waste time on fights that cannot drop your weapon.
The rolls worth keeping
Chill Inhibitor’s best pairing is Envious Arsenal with Bait and Switch. Shooting your other two weapons refills the launcher and applies a damage buff at the same time. Cascade Point with Bait and Switch works if you prefer manual reloads.
Gravitic Arrest wants Withering Gaze in one column. It applies weaken, which your whole team benefits from. Velocity Baton is the only Void area-denial grenade launcher, and Destabilizing Rounds turns its kills into volatile rounds.
Ice Breaker odds
Ice Breaker drops from the final boss, the Corrupted Puppeteer. Expect roughly one clear in ten to drop it, though luck swings hard in both directions. You get one shot per character per week, so run it on all three.
The dungeon is not in the featured rotation, so there is no bonus-clear shortcut. Complete the dungeon’s Triumphs first. Several of them raise the Ice Breaker drop chance once done.
Checkpoint farming
You can farm legendary VS drops without limit using the checkpoint swap. Launch the dungeon and reach the encounter you want. Wipe on purpose, switch to a character who has not run it, and rejoin the fireteam. Wipe again to save the checkpoint on that character.
From then on, the second character launches on the checkpoint while the first rejoins and completes the fight. Repeat as needed. Exotic loot still respects the once-per-character weekly cap, so save Ice Breaker runs for fresh characters.
Armor and Master
The Spacewalk armor set drops across all three encounters. Master difficulty is the only source of the Artifice versions, which take one extra mod slot. Master clears also roll higher-tier gear.
For the rotation and the other dungeons, see the dungeon hub; for which of these rolls is actually worth keeping, the god roll guide does the judging.
