Tarkov Kord Breach Battle Pass: Free and Shared

Kord Breach launched a free Battle Pass shared across modes. Progression comes from TerraGroup documents in raids, missions or off Black Division kills.

Kord Breach shipped with a free Battle Pass, and unlike many live-service passes it costs nothing and is shared across every mode — PvP Season, PvP Zone, and PvE Zone all feed the same progression. The way you advance it is also unusual: it is driven by documents, not by playing time or purchases.

How progression works

You advance the Battle Pass by finding and submitting TerraGroup documentation. Rewards unlock once the required number of documents is present in your inventory in any mode, and once unlocked they are available across all modes simultaneously.

Where documents come from

  • During raids across various Tarkov locations — each player receives their own personal document spawns.
  • By completing the Kord Breach special task line.
  • By eliminating certain Black Division operatives — documents from those operatives are shared among all players, not personal.

The limits and shortcuts

A daily limit governs how many documents you can find in raids, and that limit depends on the selected game mode while the progress toward it is shared across modes. There is also a universal resource: Classified Documents, available through the Expansion Hub, which can substitute for any other document type if you want to move through the pass faster. Documents found in raids behave like task items — each player gets personal spawns, and the daily limit means steady play beats cramming a single long session. Since progress toward the limit is shared across modes, a mix of PvE and PvP raids still counts toward the same daily cap. One protection worth knowing: documents meant for you cannot be picked up by other players before you reach them, and they cannot be looted from your PMC’s body, so a death does not hand your pass progress to someone else. The Kord Breach overview places the pass in the wider season, the seasonal character page covers the separate seasonal economy, and the three-profiles page explains why the pass is shared even though the profiles are not.
