Destiny 2 Legacy Collection: Retired Gear and Bundles
Legacy collection can mean retired gear, old store bundles, or the Collections tab. Here is how each works and where to find old gear.
“Legacy Collection” points at a few different things in Destiny 2. Which one you want depends on whether you are shopping or cleaning your vault. None of these are a shop you can visit in one place, which is why the term confuses new players.
Case 1: Retired gear in the Collections tab
When a season ends, its gear often becomes legacy loot. That gear still exists, but it only drops from the activities tied to it. The Collections tab shows every item you have unlocked and lists its current sources. If an item shows no sources, it is not currently farmable.
Legacy gear keeps its old perk pools, so a retired weapon can still beat newer loot. That makes the Collections tab a useful shopping list for returning players. Search by name in Collections to see the current status of any weapon. Our collections guide explains how to read those entries.
Case 2: The Monument and kiosks
Some legacy raid gear can be re-acquired with raid currency. The Monument in the Tower sells weapons and armor from older raids. Exotic kiosks in Collections let you re-pull any exotic you have already unlocked. If a weapon you want is missing from your vault, check the Monument before you farm for it.
The Monument’s stock changes over time, so check what is listed before you spend currency. Some exotics also sit in kiosks that require quests or seals to complete. Our Monument guide walks through what it offers.
Case 3: Old store bundles
Destiny 2 has shipped several retail bundles over the years. Their contents and names have changed as expansions rotated. Bungie has reorganized its store more than once since launch. If you are hunting an old bundle, check the official store page for what is on sale now.
Bundles bought years ago are usually already applied to your account. Physical editions usually include a code rather than a disc. If a bundle is no longer sold, its expansions are often available individually. Our returning player guide helps you sort out what you already own.
How to check what you own
Open Collections and browse by weapon type. Anything with a filled icon is unlocked; empty icons show what you are missing. This is the fastest way to turn a vague search into a concrete goal.
