Destiny 2 Seventh Seraph Armor: Sources & Warmind Builds
Where Seventh Seraph armor comes from in Destiny 2, how the old Rasputin-era set is used in Warmind Cell builds, and what still works today.
Seventh Seraph armor is the red-and-gold legendary set tied to Rasputin. Most players who search for it are chasing one of two things: the look or the old Warmind Cell mods. The set came out of the Seraph Tower days, when Rasputin’s bunkers were the season’s main activity. You earned it by playing the tower event, turning in bounties, and ranking up with the season’s reward track. That original farm is long gone, so the honest answer about sources is this: the set no longer has a dedicated farm.
So how do you get it now?
Start in Collections. Every piece of Seventh Seraph armor you have ever unlocked is listed there. You can reacquire individual pieces for Glimmer once you have the entry. That is the reliable path if you owned any of it. If you never did, the set sometimes shows up in general legendary engram drops. Old world-pool gear keeps a small presence in the loot tables. There is no guaranteed activity for it, so treat any drop as a bonus rather than a plan. Check the in-game sources on each item to confirm what is currently active.
Why players still want it
Warmind Cells are the reason. Seventh Seraph gear is remembered as the natural home for the Warmind Cell mod ecosystem, the build archetype built around Rasputin’s seraph tech. Cells spawn from weapon kills with the right mods, then detonate for area damage. The supporting armor mods changed how they spread, healed you, or chained between enemies. If you are chasing that fantasy, you need both the mods and armor with room for them.
Transmog and Bright Dust Synthweave
Modern builds mostly ignore the set for stats and fashion instead. Transmog is the other big use. Since universal ornaments let any legendary wear any unlocked appearance, Seventh Seraph pieces are a popular choice for a militaristic red-and-gold look. Synthweave for transmog is tied to Bright Dust, so budget accordingly — our Bright Dust guide covers the sources.
Before you commit vault space, decide what you want the set for. Warmind Cell builds need specific mod slots, so pull pieces with good resistance totals and room for the mods you plan to run. Our buildcrafting basics walk through stat priorities, and vault management helps if you are out of room.
