Destiny 2 Qua Vinctus IV: How to Find This Item
Qua Vinctus IV shows up in searches but the game won't name it. Check Collections, Pursuits, and Triumphs to confirm it's still in the loot pool.
You have seen the name Qua Vinctus IV somewhere. Maybe it was a search bar, a clanmate’s screenshot, or a loot popup. The game itself will not tell you what to do with it. That is a common problem with unusual item names. Destiny 2 is enormous, names carry over between updates, and some gear rotates in and out of availability. This page gives you a reliable way to pin down exactly what it is in the current version of the game.
Check Collections first
Open Collections and type the name into the search field. Collections lists every item you have ever unlocked, and each entry shows its sources and whether you can reacquire it. If the name appears there, read the source line to see how it drops. You can reacquire the item for Glimmer once the entry exists, so you are never locked out of a copy you already earned. If the entry is missing entirely, the item is either something you have never earned or something outside the current loot pool.
Check your Pursuits and Triumphs
Some names are not items at all. They belong to quests, triumphs, or seals. Open the Pursuits tab and scan for anything matching the name, then do the same in Triumphs. A quest step that has not been offered to you yet will not appear anywhere until a vendor or the Director hands it out. Triumphs can also hide names you have heard of but never finished.
If it turns out to be an exotic
Names with a serial-style suffix often belong to exotics, and exotics have their own chase structure. Xûr sells a rotating selection each week, and his stock sometimes includes exotic catalysts. The general catalyst pool also feeds from high-difficulty activities. Our catalysts guide covers the full unlock flow, and how to get exotics lists every current source.
If it is not in the game at all
Search engines surface names from old patches, removed content, and mistyped queries. If Collections, Pursuits, and Triumphs all come up empty, check the official site and recent patch notes. Do that before you spend hours farming something that is not currently obtainable. The in-game news panel mirrors both, so you can verify without leaving Destiny.
